Grab your umbrellas…with many activities indoors and under cover Craft Around the Block goes on RAIN OR SHINE
Frequently Ask Questions
What is Craft Around the Block?
A celebration of the arts featuring a pop-up handmade market, community art project, live music, make & takes and more! Click here for vendor, band, and activity previews!
What if it rains?
Second Saturdays are rain or shine festivals! There will be fewer vendors if it rains in the morning but kid crafts, make & takes, and community art project move indoors or under cover. The diner bus even has seating inside so you can have a fun & dry lunch. Music will go on between rain bursts. Tons to do, just bring an umbrella!
Where do I park?
Look for “event parking” signs in lots surrounding the event or use your GPS for these addresses.
Do I need cash?
Admission and parking are free but many on our pop up vendors will only take cash payment. The nearest ATM is 2 blocks south on Prospect at Lake Community Federal Credit Union.
Are there things for kids to do?
Absolutely! Lots of crafts planned for kiddos plus they will love visiting the shops and looking for hidden quails.
Quail Quest: Pick up your game card and search for quails hidden in downtown shops. Turn in your completed card by 3pm at Snags & Wags Barkery to be entered to win prizes!
How do I get around the road being closed?
Detour signs will be posted. They just take you around the block to the west of Prospect.
