It’s A Flea for All Downtown for June’s Second Saturday

Historic Downtown Hartville’s 2nd annual Second Saturday series will begin this summer with a Flea for All on June 13th. From 10am-3pm the sidewalks and lots at the intersection of State Routes 619 and 43 will be filled with vendors and sidewalk sales at downtown shops.

Karen Cox WadsworthThe Lake High School Class of 1980 will be hosting a benefit yard sale for classmate Karen Cox Wadsworth who is fighting cancer. All proceeds to directly benefit Karen’s medical expenses. Donations will be accepted June 4th-12th at Best Bib and Tucker (127 Mill St. Hartville, behind Hartville Chocolate Factory) during store hours (MWR 10-7, FSa 10-5, closed Tues/Sun).

Bring the kids. Hartville Church of the Brethren, RiverTree Lake, and Passion Church will be hosting children’s games on the square.

Food will be available from downtown pizza shops, the Beachcomber and Southern Thangs food trucks, and the Lake Township Historical Society will be grilling hot dogs. Come early and grab a doughnut from the Lake Township Chamber of Commerce information booth. June Food truck Collage

10a-Noon Gary Parker on the Square
Gary Parker is a fingerstyle/acoustic guitar artist from Cuyahoga Falls. He performs a mix of fingerstyle and vocal folk including original compositions and covers from Bread, Jim Croce, The Beatles, and Kansas.

11:30a-1:30p Front Country Ramblers at Two E’s in a Pod
Front Country Ramblers are the duo of Frank Bove of Canton and Kevin Macri from Caldwell, Ohio. They play a mix of folkadelic country blue and Americana on guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and vocals.

1-3p John Stipe at Best Bib and Tucker
Beginning in the 1970’s John Stipe honed his craft by playing in various Northeast Ohio bands. He now combines his vocals and guitar in a solo act featuring blues, classic rock, and jazz.

Second Saturdays are monthly street festivals in Historic Downtown Hartville hosted by the downtown merchants group with support from the Village of Hartville, Lake Township Chamber of Commerce, Lake Township Historical Society, Huntington Bank, Modern Vintage, Two e’s in a Pod, Best Bib and Tucker, Edward Jones- Nate Hershman, Lake Community Federal Credit Union, and Arts in Stark.
