Step Back to the 1940’s Swing Dance Event

The Lake Township Bicentennial Committee and the Hartville Hardware are teaming up to present a “Step Back to the 1940’s” Dance Event as part of the Friday evening entertainment lineup at the Uniontown Lions Festival on Friday, July 29 from 6-9pm at the Hartville MarketPlace, 1289 Edison Street NW, Hartville.

Take a turn on the dance floor and tap your foot to the big band music provided by the Savoy Band, enjoy 1940’s era displays from the Lake Township Historical Society and MAPS Air Museum and snack on 1940’s style concessions.  Free swing dance lessons will be available and 1940’s costumes are encouraged at this event, which also features free admission and parking!

The Uniontown Lions Festival & Bicentennial Celebration are hosting the event as part of their four-day celebration July 27-30, which includes games, food, rides, parade (Saturday at 5pm), car show, human foosball, bingo and fireworks caps off the celebration on Saturday night.
