The holiday weekend flea markets at Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market are the largest of the summer. This year’s 4th of July weekend flea falls on Thursday June 28th, Friday June 29th, Saturday June 30th & Monday, July 2nd. Busiest days are Saturday and Monday. Don’t forget your walking shoes and sunscreen!

Dig in to Local History
Quail Hollow Park offers Manor House Tours every Sunday this summer including July 1st at 1, 2, and 3pm. Check out one of towns oldest building with a visit to the One Room Schoolhouse. Chat with a Lake Township Historical Society docent Sunday, July 1st from 2-5pm. Schoolhouse is located at 1101 Lake Center Rd, Uniontown, OH.

If you like the heat this weekend is sure to please! Schedule a tee time at Sable Creek Golf Course, try kayaking or fishing at nearby Walborn Reservoir, or take a dip in the pool at Jellystone-Clearwater Park.

- Have you checked out one of Hartville’s newest shops? Wood with a Past is a local business dealing in reclaimed barn wood. They offer custom Amish built furniture and installation as well as raw material for the do-it-yourselfers. Great spot to stop if you are thinking of remodeling and/or redecorating this summer.
- Hartville Mercantile invites you to check out their vintage goods like this neat album. They will be closed July 4th but open regular hours throughout the weekend.

- Hartville Kitchen: If you are coming in to town for the flea market Thursday or Friday night be sure to check out the dinner specials at Hartville Kitchen. Thursday is Swiss Steak night and Friday’s special is Turkey & Stuffing (my favorite on their menu!). Closed July 4th.
- Moore than Coffee will be open July 4th. Try these three summer cool down beverages – Keylime Shaken Lemonade, Beach Bum Latte and the Freedom Frappe!

The best parking spots at the flea market on a holiday weekend are found at 7am. If that sounds early to you stay in town and beat the commute. Check out our variety of accommodations.
Navigate Like a Local
Use the back entrance to the Flea Market: Access off of Market. Get there from the north by taking Waterloo Rd. to Mishler Rd. Mishler will turn in to Market. OR State Route 43, right on Andrews then left on Market. From the south take Market Ave, cross SR 619 and make a left into the flea market.
Roadwork has begun on SR 619. This month, SR 619 is completely open but Kaufman Ave is closed right at the intersection. Click here for 619 construction updates.
