The Lake Township F.I.S.H., in collaboration with the Lake Township clergy and the Lake Local School District, will be sponsoring the 5th Annual FISH 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, June 13, 2015.
The beneficiary of the event will be the Lake Township F.I.S.H., an organization which is a source of temporary emergency assistance for people in need in the Lake Township area. F.I.S.H. is supported solely by community donations. The food cupboard is supplied with food donations from area churches and schools, and the financial support is raised by churches, individuals, local businesses and proceeds from F.I.S.H. sponsored events. F.I.S.H. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
This race is an official “Subway Series Event” and the course is USATF-certified. The event will start and end at Lake High School’s Blue Streak Stadium and will wind down Woodland Avenue to Geib Avenue and then return to the Stadium. The day will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a “Kids Fun Run” which will be followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 8:30. There will be several family-oriented activities that morning at Blue Streak Stadium.
Entry fee for the 5K is only $20 for pre-registered participants ($25 on race day). There is no charge for the “Kids Fun Run”.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three overall finishers in each gender. The top three finishers in each age group will also receive prizes. Each youth finisher in the “Kids Fun Run” will receive a certificate. The awards presentation will take place one hour after the start of the race.
The F.I.S.H. 5K Race is currently seeking additional business sponsorships for the 5K Run/Walk. Sponsors will receive acknowledgement throughout the event as well as additional signage at the race venue.
