This month we asked our shops and restaurants to share WHAT”S NEW at their businesses. Grand openings, expanded and new product, new locations, and new staff- read below to get the scoop.
Front Porch Cafe
GentleBrook’s Front Porch Cafe opened in the former Hartville Hardware building on October 15th. They are open 6a-10p Monday – Saturday, and 11a-9p Sunday. A Grand Opening will be held November 6th with their annual craft show to follow on the 8th.
Maize Valley
Maize Valley’s brewery opened September 1st with 6 brews on tap and is Stark County’s first craft brewery. Fall is a busy time of year at Maize, filled with wagon rides, shooting the pumpkin cannon, pig races, and corn maze. Many additions have been made to the farm this year including target paint ball, goat-a-palooza, and a kid’s village.
SolPie Pizza
A new name for local favorite Ermanno’s Pizza of North Canton. The change focuses on their philosophy to serve Sustainable, Organic, and Local food. Check out the menu at http://www.solpiepizza.com/
Sunrise Massage Therapy
Sunrise Massage Therapy moved to their new location (11366 Cleveland Ave NW, Uniontown ) this past summer. In addition to the new office, Laura Sbory, and Judy Bender joined their existing therapists Tina Read, Melissa Archer, and Sean Hammond. Modern Vintage
September was a busy month for the team of artists at Modern Vintage. You can now find the country charm of Faith Love N Design and the loveliness of Faded Velvet in this Historic Downtown Hartville shop, located next to Hartville Chocolate Factory. New this fall, the shop will begin carrying Maison Blanche paint and products and offering paint classes.
Best Bib and Tucker

Twice is Nice
This shop moved a hop and a skip down the street to 841 Edison St. (SR 619) Hartville. They continue to be a one stop shop for the entire family, carrying consignment clothing, home decor, furniture, gifts, and many unique items.
Pheasant View Dairy Goats
This local farm operates a shop in Hartville MarketPlace and recently opened a workshop in North Plaza (260 Kent Ave. Hartville). In addition to a storefront for their goat’s milk soap, lotion, and laundry detergent, the new space allows them to offer classes. Most Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays (Oct-Dec) have sessions on essential oils, lotion making, body scrubs, children’s classes and more.
Gourmet Market Pasta- Pappardelle’s Pasta…and More!
Seasonal orzos have arrived at Gourmet Market Pasta. They are Sweet Potato Orzo, Autumn Harvest Orzo (Chestnut, Pumpkin and Sage) and Yuletide Orzo (Cinnamon-Nutmeg, Cranberry and Orange). Heart Ville Boutique
Heart Ville Boutique now has close to 30 vendors including these new ones- beautiful outdoor benches, hand beaded Native American jewelry & dream catchers, candle holders, framed water color paintings, wooden baskets, & etched glass ware!!!
