Send off summer with a trip to Hartville. Here are six things to do this holiday weekend!
1) Labor Day Weekend Flea Market
It’s time for the 79th Annual Labor Day Weekend Flea Market at Hartville MarketPlace! Over 1,000 vendors will be set up over the course of the 4 day event (Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Monday). Put on your walking shoes and sunscreen and come shop, treasure hunt, and people watch to your hearts content.
Chocolate Creations and Peace, Love & Little Donuts have both recently opened in the newly renovated South Side Market inside the MarketPlace. Check them out for a sweet pick me up as you treasure hunt.
2) Last Weekend to Take a Dip in the Pool
The pool at Akron/Canton Jellystone Park will be open this week and Labor Day. Pool hours are daily 11:00am – 7:00pm. Add to the fun by playing a round of mini-golf and snagging an ice cream to make it a great day! All day swim passes are $10 on Thursday when you mention this Facebook post.
3) Live Music at Maize Valley
Spend your Friday & Saturday evening at Maize Valley listening to Kevin Conway (August 31st) and John Markovich (Sept 1st) while enjoying their award winning wines and brews.
4) Enjoy Lunch on the Patio
Front Porch Cafe will be open Labor Day from 8am-1pm and featuring Their coney dog and apple pie as the special – yum!
5) Go Shopping
- The Eclectic Rose: Bonus shopping days! In addition to their regular hours this whimsical shop will be open from 104 on Sunday and 10:30-3:00 on Labor Day with storewide sales.

6) Manor House Tour
It’s going to feel like summer this weekend! Enjoy the great outdoors with a hike at Quail Hollow Park. The Manor House will be open for tours on Sunday, September 2nd

Navigating road construction
There is a detour on SR43 at the very south end of Lake Township. Check out our Road Work page for a quick detour.
Remember If arriving to the flea market from the north, west, or south you can easily use the back entrance to the flea market (off of Market Ave) for a quicker route to treasure hunting!
