Lake Band Tag Day

Each year, the Lake Band students spend one Saturday morning visiting each house asking for donations. It’s call Tag Day. As with so many things, Tag Day will look a little different this year.
Tag Day is our big day to raise money for new marching band uniforms. Our goal is to raise $10,000 each year to save up the $100,000 we need to purchase new uniforms every ten years. Tag Day offers a unique opportunity for our Band kids to get out and meet and talk to our incredibly supportive community, face-to-face.
We will plan for have a pair of students on shift at local businesses to collect donations from 10am-2pm on Saturday, August 15th.
Best Bib and Tucker, Beatty’s Sports, BellStores, Beiler’s Penn Dutch Market, Country Clean Car Wash, Dairy Queen, Front Porch Café, Grinders Above & Beyond, Hartville Chocolate Factory, Hartville Elevator Company, Lacrosse360, Lake Varsity Diner, Lake Community YMCA, My Sister’s Place, Hartville, McDonald’s, New Baltimore, Rolling Greens Miniature Golf, Subway, Uniontown Location (Cleveland Ave.), The Eclectic Rose, and Walden’s Barbershop.
You will find small groups of band kids and a parent volunteer wearing face masks and social distancing outside of these businesses collecting donations for our 2020 Tag Day.
In addition to these businesses (and possibly a few more), we will also have a “drive through” donation station set up at Lake High School in the parking lot at the loop in front of Door 1 (same side as the Library).
If anyone is unable to visit a donation location, donations can also be mailed to the Lake Band Boosters at P.O. Box 315, Hartville, Ohio 44632.
