Let your creative side loose at Craft Around the Block 10a-3p Saturday, September 12th in Historic Downtown Hartville.
HANDMADE MARKET
On a regular day, downtown shops feature the works of over 100 artists. For this street festival an additional 40 makers will show their work with arts and craft booths filling sidewalks and lots. PLUS, Hartville Garden Club will be selling fall mums next to Hartville Chocolate Factory.
GET CRAFTY
This is not your typical craft show. Interact with artists, create, get messy, and learn! Downtown shops will host make and take projects and demos including metal-smithing, jewelry making, birdhouse construction, painting techniques, play dough sculpting, and kids’ crafts. PAINT-A-CHAIR
Come ready to paint and help turn 30 vintage folding chairs into masterpieces! Beginners, kids, and artists welcome. Supplies will be provided.
The Paint-A-Chair project is coordinated by Lake High School senior and National Honors Society student Megan Stevens and is made possible through a sponsorship by Spitzer Ford and Lake Community Federal Credit Union.
LIVE MUSIC
Live music by The Lake Project, a group of musicians from RiverTree Lake will perform in the square from 11-2 and Gary Parker will play acoustic guitar from 11:30-1:30 in the lunch area.
COME FOR LUNCH
Delicious food (an art unto itself) will be provided by Southern Thangs Food Truck, The Nifty 50’s Diner Bus, Tropical Sno, and Lake Township Historical Society. Downtown restaurants will be open for pizza, subs, gyros, chicken, donuts, coffee, ice cream, and of course chocolate.
