How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying Performance
April 11, 2019 - April 14, 2019
Lake High School’s Choral Department will present the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in the high school Performing Arts Hall April 11, 12, and 13 at 7 p.m, and April 14, 2019 at 2 p.m. A Project Connect performance will take place Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 12:45 p.m.
This Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, an ambitious window washer who quickly catapults his career to that of a high-powered executive. This satire of 1960’s big business explores workplace snafus like coffee breaks, nepotism, backstabbing co-workers, and office romance.
The standout score by Frank Loesser features such classics as the surreal and funny “Coffee Break,” the rousing “Brotherhood of Man,” and the harmonious “Been a Long Day.” More than 100 Lake High School students will participate in this production including cast, crew, and orchestra.
Debra Bordo, vocal music director for grades 7-12, will again direct the spring musical.
Tickets will be available for purchase for $10 on the Lake Local Schools website at www.lakelocal.org beginning March 22, 2019.
