Linda Miller started making quilts when her first child was born in 1986 and has used quilting as a type of therapy ever since. Linda owns ‘That’s Sew Special!, llc’, a sewing venture that began with crafts and wall hangings in 1998 and grew to encompass Longarm Quilting in 2001, Computerized Longarm Quilting in 2008 with the IntelliQuilter System, and the first Computerized Longarm Rental Studio in Ohio in 2012. A passion for quilting led her to board positions in the National Quilting Association as Vice-President, President, and Quilt Show Chairman (2014) as well as a repeating candidate in the Judging Certification Program. Linda is the author of a Reference Guide for the IntelliQuilter system, ‘Got IQ 2017, a reference guide & workbook’, sold on-line through her website to users around the globe. Linda is the director of ‘Quilt Camp at Cedar Lakes’, a yearly educational retreat for up to 250 quilters for a week away in West Virginia each October. Linda’s first experience in a quilt show was a First Place ribbon for a commissioned quilt that she pieced and someone else quilted. Other ribbons have followed, although Linda does not compete often since she prefers judging at shows as her way to share her love of the art. Linda grew up in Northwest Ohio and makes Northeast Ohio her home.
