Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an enchanting evening of music featuring The Hitmen, a rock band devoted to love and heartfelt songs.
The Hitmen has four members which come from a variety of vocational backgrounds:
By day, Dr. Kent Ramsey, who doubles on electric guitar and digital keyboard, is an ear, nose and throat specialist at Canton’s Ohio Head & Neck Center.
John Arnold, on bass guitar and harmonica, is a tire engineer for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Akron.
Dr. Todd Johnson, on digital drum set and other percussion instruments, is a cardiologist at Canton’s Cardiology One unit.
Skip Scherer who doubles on the trumpet and keyboard, is a retired director of communications for Goodyear and current freelance writer.
The Hitmen, voted Stark County’s favorite band in About Magazine’s 2009 “Reader’s Choice” poll, specializes in classic rock. The band’s playlist features musical hits of the 1960s through the ‘80s, including those of the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, the Monkees, the Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Huey Lewis and the News, Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynrd, Cheap Trick, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, AC/DC and ZZ Top.
