The Hartville Americana Show will take place on the grounds of Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market on October 8, 9, & 10th. Great weather is expected for this three day celebration of antiques, vintage cars, folk music, and delicious food truck feasts.
This week we chatted with event coordinator, Kirk Greaves for a quick Q&A on what to expect, frequently asked questions, and how this new event came about.
The Americana Show is a new event for Hartville MarketPlace. Antiques have always been a favorite part of the flea market for Greaves and general manager Seth Coblentz so was a natural theme to build an event around.
When many major antique shows across the US began canceling due to Covid, planning cautiously continued for the Hartville show. The pair felt they could leverage their large outdoor space (15 acres) to offer a way to support the community of vendors and keep customers safe.
With their connections in the industry the team at Hartville MarketPlace brought together a great group including Robbie Wolfe from American Pickers. Wolfe will be set up with a sales booth throughout the event and is hosting a meet and greet on Saturday.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg describing all that is planned for this show. From an awesome lineup of live music, food trucks, sculpture artist, and a car cruise around town you can see why Greaves calls it a “flea market on steroids”.
