Make a budget and stick to it. Take the amount of cash that you want to spend (as generous as possible as you will find MANY treasures) and leave your Debit/Credit Card at home. Vendors will not take them.- The time to buy that very special piece is when you see it; when you turn your back it may sell to the person behind you.
- Treat each vendor respectfully. If you think an item is fairly priced, pay it. Remember that you are essentially paying the vendor a finders fee for scouting your one-of-a-kind piece. Let them tell you if the price is negotiable. They will let you know.

What to Wear to the Flea Market from Best Bib and Tucker
- Wear comfortable shoes. The Labor Day flea market is HUGE. If you want to cover it all plan on walking a lot. Luckily most of the grounds are paved so there’s no need to worry about mud/dirt.
- Stay cool and unburnt with loose fitting clothing, hats, and sunglasses. If going with a skirt make sure it is long enough to bend over and crouch to inspect items on the ground.
- Bring a tote to carry away your treasures. A cross-body bag will distribute weight across your torso and leave your hands free for more shopping.
