For the past several years, the first Saturday in June has been special for Pegasus Farm and the community that supports them in their mission to maximize the potential of persons with disabilities to become independent, well-rounded, self-confident individuals by providing equine activities along with recreational, social, and vocational support. The Farm opens its gates to families for a day of old-fashioned fun in the country for Pegasus Farm Family Fun Day!
A full day of activities is planned for this event which is a fundraiser benefitting the programs and services of Pegasus Farm. In addition to barn tours, inflatables, pony rides and a petting zoo, the day will feature performances from the Pegasus Farm Vaulting Club, a kids climbing experience from Davey Tree, the Buckeye Corvette Club, and “The Realm of the Reptile “ Show. Food options will include Wholly Frijoles food truck, Don’s Barbecue, and Milk & Honey Ice Cream. This year’s event sponsors are Kenan Advantage Group, Mahindra of Massillon, Hartville Hardware, Davey Tree, Akron Childrens Hospital, and Buckeye Packaging. All proceeds from Family Fun Day benefit the programs of Pegasus Farm.
The Farm is one of four therapeutic equestrian centers in Northeast Ohio that are certified as a Premier Center by the
