Hartville MarketPlace Launches Brand New Cafeteria Style Dining Experience
Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market announced the Grand Opening of their brand new cafeteria style dining experience Sarah’s Market Fresh Grill (SMFG) and we enjoyed a media event this week to preview all of the great changes before the official Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, June 25!
SMFG focuses on fast, fresh and local, and was born out of the necessity to evolve. According to Jason Gergon, Director of Food Services, they have been operating Sarah’s Grill for about 14 years and realized that their customers’ needs were changing.
So, rather than just revamp small portions of the already established Sarah’s Grill, the team at Hartville MarketPlace decided to knock it down and completely rebuild. “We wanted a fresh look and fresh experience for our customers,” said Marion Coblentz, President of Hartville MarketPlace. “We completely changed the way that customers order, receive food and check out. So far we have seen that this has reduced wait time by over 50%, and it has also allowed us to source many food items that we wouldn’t normally carry.”
SMFG offers traditional food court
fare such as hot dogs, soft pretzels, and cheeseburgers that they source locally from Duma Meats, but is now offering more fresh items and an expanded breakfast offering to meet the needs of their ever-changing clientele. You’ll find several items that are private labeled for SMFG like gourmet popcorn and old-fashioned soda, and you’ll even find some great home-style cooking from sister business Hartville Kitchen.
We thoroughly enjoyed the preview event and the ability to try out several new items that we took home in the great thermal totes they offer. Their newly expanded menu definitely appealed to someone like myself with food intolerances and allergies and can now be a place to have lunch each week with plenty of selection to choose from with all of the new local and fresh options.
During their Grand Opening on June 25th, guests will be treated to a free medium fountain drink for every $5 they spend at SMFG in an effort to celebrate the new venture for the almost 77-year-old entity.
