Night of the Frogs
Saturday, April 13th 8:00-10:00pm
This fun and informative program begins with a frog presentation in the library of the Manor House so visitors can learn about the frogs and toads in Ohio. Then we head outside to nearby wetlands to look for these elusive amphibians! Dress for the weather. Bring a flashlight and insect repellent. Rubber boots are highly recommended.
2013 Spring Photo Contest Exhibit
Saturday, April 20th and Sunday April 21st 1:00-5:00pm
Quail Hollow State Park’s Camera Club will hold a public exhibition of submissions from it’s 2013 Spring Photo contest from 1:00-5:00pm on Saturday and Sunday, April 20th and 21st. Categories on display are nature, animal life, plant life, people, scenic, architecture, Quail Hollow, still life, creative technique, and black and white. Amateur photographers can submit entries through Sunday, April 15th.
Celebrate Earth Day
Sunday, April 21st 1:00-5:00pm
Earth Day will be celebrated at the Carriage House Nature Center. At 1pm join us for a program about turtles. Then at 2pm there will be a woodland hike to see how nature has reclaimed former farmland. Visit our resident birds of prey. There will also be a photo display by the Quail Hollow Camera Club.
Art, Craft, and Herb Fair
Saturday May 4th 10:00-5:00pm and Sunday, May 5th 11:00-5:00pm
- Herb Society’s annual plant sale with over 150 varieties of culinary and decorative herbs and flowering plants
- Artisans will be stationed on all three floors of the historic Stewart manor house and on the lawn surrounding the home
- Food items will be on sale
- Picnic areas, a formal herb garden, and hiking trails are within walking distance of the event
- Free parking and admission
