GentleBrook Greenhouse & Farm
Welcome to GentleBrook Greenhouse + Farm! Enjoy strolling our nearly one acre of beautiful annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, succulents, vegetables and herbs. Custom planting is also available – bring us your containers and let our team design and plant for you! The 2024 season runs from April 8th through early fall. Greenhouse purchases help support GentleBrook’s programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities.

Browse our extensive supply of lawn and garden supplies from vegetable seed packs, onion sets, and grass seeds, to straw, fertilizers and pond chemicals, we have everything you need to care for your home lawn and garden. If there is something you need that we don’t stock, we can order it for you.
Hartville Hardware
If you’re looking for the newest trends in gardening or working on your outdoor entertaining space, you’ll want to stop by Hartville Hardware. The store is stocked with seed packets, bulbs, lawn & garden tools, ornamental pavers, planting mixes, and more! In the spring you can browse their greenhouse (open late April to mid-June) for vegetable plants, succulents, hanging baskets, ready-made planters, and colorful annuals for your raised and rolling flower beds.
Shop hand-picked seasonal decor, artificial flowers, and vases for your DIY arrangements and centerpieces. And, don’t forget to stop by the Idea House, filled with design inspiration.
Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market
Visit the Hartville MarketPlace located in the South Pavilion of their Flea Market where vendors will be selling fresh flowers, locally grown herbs, vegetable plants and produce.

This annual fundraiser benefits the local and world community through glasses, vision checks, food pantry donations, sponsorships, and disaster relief. Put a smile on your face knowing you helped to put a smile on the faces of those in need.
Home Again Flowers
You’ll find bouquets on Home Again’s self-serve roadside stand beginning in July! You Pick typically begins in July (watch their Facebook page for season opening and closing dates). and runs through early October. Stop by from dawn to dusk to enjoy the fields and create your own bouquet. You’ll also find a little free library on site to take a book home or read from the field.
Parking is alongside the road in the grass — please make sure you’re fully off the road! Everything you need to pick your own bouquet is at our flower stand. $20 for as many flowers as you can fit in a cup. We accept exact cash, check and Venmo. Field is open to paying guests only.
Maize Valley
Join Maize Valley for two Lavender Harvest Markets and two Sunflower Hartvest Markets where the farm fills with local makers, food trucks, live music, outdoor games, and more! In between enjoy a summer of U-Pick lavender, cosmos, zinnias, wild flowers, and sunflowers while taking photos and learning about Maize Valley’s no-till regenerative agriculture first hand.

Pegasus Farm Country Store & Gardens
Take a stroll through the Pegasus Farm 5-acre Wellness Garden and learn about their unique crops and gardening techniques. The garden features three varieties of lavender and multiple flower beds, alongside their vegetables and blueberries, grown with no pesticides or chemicals. These items are sold in the Country Store as well as bulk foods, baked goods, and local vendor items. The Country Store and Gardens provides vocational opportunities for adults with disabilities through the Farm’s Adult Day Services program. The individuals in the program are responsible for operating the store and maintaining the garden. Your purchases make a difference! All proceeds from the store support the nonprofit mission of Pegasus Farm. Home gardeners – be sure to check out the farm’s vermicompost, produced using horse manure, cow manure, and shredded paper.

Quail Hollow Park
The Herb Garden and Historic Rock Garden at Quail Hollow Park are beautiful spots for a stroll, photos, and learning local history. With over 700 acres of trails, gardens, and a manor house you are sure to find your own favorite spot on the grounds. Volunteers are always welcome to join the Quail Hollow Volunteer Association and help maintain these pretty places. Learn more here.
